How Google Tests Software?

I have read recently this book which author is James Whittaker well known testing expert. James in his book shows organizational structure in Google and in next chapters explains a role of the 'Software Engineer in Test' (SET), the 'Test Engineer' (TE) and the 'Test Engineering Manager' (TEM).

From this book you get to know which tools are used in Google to improve test process. What's more this tools are Open Source so you can try their by yourself for free. In Appendix A you will find 'The Chrome OS Test Plan' so you can see how to write professional Test Plan.

This book is unfortunately only good, not very good. Interviews with Google employees are long and also sometimes boring. From this book you can not learn how to better test software, you can not find there new tricky techniques, maybe because this book is not about that... but anyway a professional tester should read this position.
